Have you ever wondered what the secrets are to achieve
and maintain healthy and beautiful hair? Have you looked in magazines to see
your favourite celebrity or even watch the on television or in a movie? It’s
been said, women have their hair and men have their cars. In other words, hair
is to women, what cars are to men. I will share my super easy, super quick tips
and techniques with those who want healthy, beautiful hair.
My tips and
techniques are:
Washing the Hair:
When washing your hair it’s best to use warm water. The cuticle
in the hair will open allowing the shampoo, conditioner, hair mask or any hair
treatment in to clean your hair. Once you have finished giving the hair a good
washing, use cool water to close the cortex. Not only will this close the hair cuticles,
it will also bring shine to the hair. Avoid using hot water. This will only
cause damage to your hair by stripping away the natural oils the hair supplies,
as well as drying it out.
Now that we have discussed the temperature of the water.
Let’s discuss the proper way to wash your hair. After you have applied the
shampoo into your hair, give your scalp a good massage by using your whole
hand, fingertips and the inside palm of your hand. Very much like what the hair
dressers do in the salon. Not only does the massage feel great, it also wakes
up the natural oils. This way, the natural oils are moving and working to
provide healthy hair. The natural oils should be found from root to tip. The
natural oils in our heads are our own natural conditioner. We need them to be awake
so they can work their magic.
Brushing the Hair:
A century ago, women would brush their hair a hundred
times a day using a soft brush. Now a day, women do not have the same amount of
time to brush their hair. It still is very important to brush your hair as much
as possible. This will bring the natural oils from the scalp or from the root
of the hair to the tips, as well as waking them up, if they aren’t already
awake. Don’t just brush your hair with your head straight, move your head side
to side as you brush. Before showering, flip your head over and give your hair
a good brushing. Again, this will wake up the natural oils and sliding them
down the hair all the way to the tips, as well as throughout the hair.
Protein for the Hair:
Not only is protein food for your muscles, it’s also food
for your hair. Our hair is mainly made up of protein, 97% to be exact. Which means
the more protein you eat, the better it is for your hair. This will cause you
to have the healthy, beautiful hair that you want.
Protect Your Hair:
Always use a heat protecting spray before using a flat
iron, curling iron or hot rollers. Section your hair, when damp, as you would when applying
any of the devices. Spray the heat protecting spray from root to tip on the
sectioned hair. Lastly, use either of the appliances onto your hair. This will
protect your hair from the heat preventing your from being damaged.

Another way to protect your hair from being damaged or
drying out is by using a climate protection shampoo, conditioner or spray. By using this shampoo it
will protect your hair from the environment, preventing your hair from being
damaged from the sun rays, the cold weather, pollution and anything else that is harmful
to the our hair.
