Get Your Feet Beach Ready with Grapefruit!

Grapefruit is rich in citric acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), grapefruit is a powerful exfoliator which loosens dead skin cells and soften dry rough skin.

Grapefruit essential oil is brimming with antioxidant, anti-viral as well as anti-mircobial properties, and has a lively refreshing scent which is especially helpful for eliminating foot odor. This wonderful-smelling oil also fights toenail fungus, athlete's foot, skin cracking and soothe itchy red skin between toes.

As for sea salt, it's full of natural healthy goodness. Sea salt has been used to treat a few skin problems such as itching, rashes, eczema, acne, wrinkles and psoriasis. Plus, sea salt is hypoallergenic so there are no side effects.

Grapefruit and Sea Salt Foot Scrub Recipe:

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons sea salt
2 tablespoons grapefruit rind
½ tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (or almond oil)
8-10 drops grapefruit essential oil


Directions:
1. Place sea salt, grapefruit rind and olive oil in a small bowl.
2. Stir in grapefruit essential oil. Allow mixture to stand for 10-12 hours.
Take a small amount of your homemade grapefruit sea salt foot scrub and massage it on your feet. Don't forget your heels and soles as it is the driest part of your feet. Rinse well. Use it at least once a week to get maximum exfoliation from sea salt and fruit acids.
