Here are a
few tips to create a simple, quick, intense smoky eye. Here are the steps you
should follow:
Step 1:
Use a cream
eyeliner pencil, Apply a line on your lash line as if you are applying
eyeliner. The line can be as big or small as you like, keep in mind the bigger
the line the better it is for you to work with.
Step 2:
Once the line
has been applied take a medium size eyeshadow brush and apply upwards. You are
placing the liner on your lids and above the crease. You can even create a cat
eye, as well. If you want the cat eye, extend the product past the outer corner
of your eye creating a wing. You can extend it as far as you like. If not, make
sure you do ‘wing out’ the product.
Step 3:
Now that the
product has been placed, take your crease brush and blend the product making
sure you have covered the lid, crease and possibly the outer corner of the eye.
Step 4:
Next, take a
powdered eyeshadow of the same colour as the Jumbo Pencil and apply the powder
over top of the formula. This will keep your eye makeup in place. You can use
this technique to with as many hues as you like. Meaning if you opt to use more
than one colour of the cream eye liner on your lids than you would want to use
more than one colour of powdered eyeshadow on your lids as well. Making sure
the colours are matched. So, if you used black eyeliner, you will use black
eyeshadow and so forth. If you would like to use more than one colour, swipe
the pencil over the entire lash line, you decide how far you would like the
line to go with the first product. Perhaps the line goes half way, take the second
colour and continue with the line on the lash line all the way to the inner
corner of the eye. Place and blend product as you normally as you would. Next,
take your powdered eyeshadow, remember keeping the eyeshadow colours of the
same colour as the eyeliners and place over top with an eyeshadow brush.
Step 5:
Take your
crease brush aka blending brush and blend. This is important so your two colour
don’t look like blocks on your lids, but instead look as if it goes from shade
to another gradually, which is what you want.
Step 6:
Applying eye liner.
If you decide to use black for your smokey eye than you don’t need to apply
eyeliner as you already did. Unless you have decided to incorporate two or more
colours, than you may want to eyeliner to where it needs to be applied. I don’t
think you would want your eyes to be partially lined with eyeliner. If black
was your only colour than you can skip this step as you have already applied
the liner.
Step 7:
False
Eyelashes. Always measure your falsies against your lashes without glue. This
way, if the falsies are too long you can make adjustments by cutting off
whatever needs to be removed so it fits perfectly. After you have measured the
false lashes, apply glue. I prefer black glue so it blends nicely, it actually
looks if you’ve applied eye liner. Otherwise white or clear glue works just as
well. If you need to go back to blend everything, use your eyeliner to make
touch ups. As long as you have applied a small amount of glue, you should be
fine.
Step 8:
Applying
mascara. To avoid clumpiness there are two steps. The first step is to remove
any excess product onto a paper towel or tissue. Next, apply your mascara in a
zig zag motion. Applying it in a zig zag motion not only prevents clumps it
also gets right in and coats each and every lash. Apply at least two coats of
mascara. If you need to add more mascara apply more.
