With a subtle amount of luminizer (Hourglass Amblent Lighting Powder $52 CND www.hourgalass.com) applied after you have finished applying the base (foundation, concealer, powder) makeup. Apply the luminizer in the same manner as a bronzer in a ‘3” shape motion and a backwards ‘3’ motion. Leaving the nose last and only with a bit of product left on your powder brush you sweep down the centre of the nose. Or mix moisturizer into your liquid foundation for that subtle glow. Apply this mixture all over the face as you normally would when applying foundation. What are you waiting for? Get glowing!
Smoke up those peepers of yours with a darker brown shade in a brown eye shadow compact, for example Dolce & Gabanna The Eyeshadow Smooth Eye Colour in Contrasts 140 $59 www.sephora.com, once you have applied the base colour, which is the second lightest colour in any compact. Then, you would use the darker hue to apply in the crease to contour your eyes, or in this case to add the smoky affect. On the eye lids, pat on (note: it is important to pat the product onto the lid, as this ensures, not only does the product stay in place, but it also delivers long-lasting results). With a crease brush, blend the two shades together, so it doesn’t look like two blocks of colour, and it gradually goes from one colour to the next. Lastly, pat the lightest shade in the compact in the inner corner of the eye to brighten the eyes up. Not that you’re tired, but if let’s say you are, this is a great technique to disguise this, as it opens the peepers up so much, a person wouldn’t even think or see that you are actually tired. Followed by, mascara and tight eye liner. Groom the brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo $30 www.sephora.com with an angle or eye liner brush.
Apply a pinky-nude of creamy lipstick (Guerlain KissKiss Shaping Cream Lip Colour in Golden Girl 300 $44 www.guerlain.com over top of the lips, beginning at the centre of the lips working your way to the inner corners by twisting the lipstick to pointy portion of it, so the lipstick remains in the lip line. Apply a pressed powder with a small powder brush or a concealer brush to line the lips. This prevents any feathering.
