My Tips on How I Enhance My Natural Beauty!

When I want to get fresh faced, I rely on products and some natural remedies. I also rely on a few other things, for example, having a healthy and positive outlook on life, as well as myself. I will get to more on that later, as I share my tips and why it's important, including, what role it comprises to our outer selves.

To begin, I shall discuss products. As for cleansers, I like to rely on milk cleansers. I'm obsessed with any milk related to products, especially with cleansers. Regardless of the consistency of the milk cleanser. It also is a great moisturizer and makeup remover. I will then use a day mask. I like clay masks, honey masks, almond masks. I don't like peel masks. At night, I will use a leave on night mask. Followed by a serum, essence and a moisturizer. Phew! Wow, that's a lot. However, it's worth it.
I LOVE drinking tea from green tea (flavoured tea is my fave!), white tea, herbal tea, oolong tea. The first three I know are excellent for your skin to maintain hydrance.

As for what I eat, I love green veggies. What person loves green veggies, but really dislikes French fries, fast food (I'd rather eat a real burger on a barbecue) and candy, except for chocolate - milk chocolate, that is? Someone who is unique that's who. I love tomatoes. I like drinking orange juice and grapefruit juice. I try to eat as much of natural and organic foods as possible, that includes my skincare products. I love green tea, as well as white tea. These two are very good for you, not only for outer health, but it's also good for you in the inside.

Sound sleep is also important for your exterior. I am a night owl, I do, however, try to go to bed before midnight to ensure I receive my beauty sleep.

In addition, with what I'm about to say, is strictly my opinion. My life lessons that I will share, as it contributes to the health of your skin. The way you feel internally showcases externally. For example, I am in such a great place right now. I love laughing. I have always and still love music. Laughing, is so much better than feeling any of those negative feelings. To be in a happy and healthy mindset is important for your exterior. Some thing that I have done is remove any negativity from my life. I don't welcome it, anymore. Something that was taught to me when I was a child was to love yourself, respect yourself, appreciate yourself and to accept yourself for who you are. I've always been self-confident, to be honest. When mistakes occur from decisions that have been made, a person should learn from them, grow from them and evolve as a person from them. Embracing myself for who I am, as well as being comfortable in my own skin brings me peace in my mind, body and soul. I have not ever, I'm not kidding, have I ever said, "I wish I looked like that". or, "I wish I had that feature or that feature". Why not? Because, I have accepted what I have, and I'm proud of it. I'm a proud person. I'm proud of myself externally and internally. If I'm not happy with let's my weight, because I've gained weight, let's say during the holiday season, instead of complaining, I will do something about it by exercising. With this kind of train of thought, it reflects on how your skin will appear. How? If you're stressed, unhappy, etc., your skin will showcase it through breakouts, dark circles/puffiness/bags, imperfect complexion due to lack of sleep, relying on caffeine (caffeine in products is so much better for your skin than to drink it). I don't mean to go all sentimental or to be overly expressive. Enough with the sentiments, let me share with you, my tips on how you, too, can receive a fresh face by using products.

Milky Jelly Cleanser ($18, www.glossier.com)
This is the ultimate daily face wash: use on dry skin to dissolve away makeup and grime, or on wet skin as you start your day. The pH-balanced, creamy gel formula is made with a blend of five skin conditioners so your face is left feeling healthy and soft, never tight. Its cleansing power comes from the same gentle cleaning agents you’d find in contact lens solution, so it’s tough on impurities and still safe to use on your eyes. You’ll see.

How to Apply:
To start your day—massage 1-2 pumps onto wet skin (keep it in the shower!) and rinse.
To remove makeup*—on dry skin, gently and thoroughly massage 2-3 pumps directly onto eye area to melt away mascara; add water, massage over the rest of your face, and rinse.
*unless it’s waterproof, in which case you should use a cleansing oil, and follow with Milky Jelly for complete clean.

Key ingredients:

PoloxamerA strong yet mild cleansing agent used in contact lens solution.
RosewaterWe replaced a 1/4 of the H2O content with soothing rosewater (bonus: smells great!).
Comfrey Root ExtractContains healing allantoin, which helps prevent stress on skin.
AquaxylRefills skin’s water reserves and improves its barrier to prevent dehydration.
Pro-Vitamin B5Powerful, natural moisturizer found in mushrooms and cheese.

Benefits:
Purifying, Nourishing, Soothing, Gentle

Claims:
hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, safe for the eye area, ophthalmologist tested, appropriate for all skin types, soap free, paraben free, sulfate free, fragrance free, not tested on animals

PURETÉ THERMALE ONE STEP MILK CLEANSER 3-IN-1

There are so many milk cleansers that I like. Some have a thicker consistency, to a medium consistency (like Glossier's), to a thinner consistency. A thicker consistency of a milk cleanser would be Bioderma Hydrabio H2O (www.bioderma.ca), and a thinner consistency would be Vichy Purete Thermale One Step Cleansing Milk 3-in-1 (Cleanser, Toner and makeup remover) (www.vichy.ca). I've been using and experimenting with beauty products since I was thirteen. Being a certified makeup artist in makeup artistry, this also includes a certificate in hair styling, nothing chemical or cutting. So, I have experimented with hair care products and tools, as well as makeup, along with skincare. This has developed my preference. I'm saying this because, there isn't a milk cleanser that is better than another, it comes down to preference. Do you prefer a thicker consistency of your milk cleanser, in between thickens, so it's a combo of both, or a thin consistency. I don't have a preference.

Because, I am obsessed with milk as my skincare ingredient, this extends to milk sunscreen. It's so good for sensitive skin, too. Extending my love for milk even further to the luxuries milk bath; feeling like Cleopatra. I haven't had a milk bath in at least eight months. You can purchase something that is already formulated, so you can just dump a bit of the content into the running water for your bath (follow the instructions on the product), or you can make it from scratch. Cow's milk is high in lactose (sugar) and fat, where as goat's milk and sheep's milk is not. It's the opposite. Supply about a table spoon of milk powder into the running water. I sometimes like to add honey, and really go all Cleopatra. Milk and honey are natural cleansers, as well as moisturizers. If I want a cleanse, exfoliate and moisturized skin, I will include oats.

For cellulite reduction (cellulite derives from genetics), is to exfoliate it with already used grinds from your coffee. So, don't throw it away, place it on your cellulite. I say it's a temporary solution, however, it can be a permanent solution depending the depth of the cellulite. It has become commonly known that caffeine burns fat, which is what your cellulite needs. Off topic, caffeine helps to mobilize fats from

the fat tissues and increase metabolism. Huh! Who would

have ever thought? The health of caffeine, despite that it acts

as a sponge to absorb the water content in our body. Well, I

suppose there is always good and bad in everything. I would

go for natural caffeine.

After cleansing my face, I love spray a mist. For example, this one from Glossier. Soothing Face Mist ($18, www.glossier.com). A mist is like applying water onto your face. It's so refreshing. This mist is no different. Check out the product description.

Ever thought you’d spray water onto your face right after you

washed it? No? Well, this isn’t just water, per se. It’s made

with roses and aloe to hydrate, soothe, and leave you feeling

fresh and awake, prepping your skin for the Priming

Moisturizer. Also excellent as a makeup refresher and midday pick-me-up.

How to Apply:
Close your eyes and gently mist onto face. Use directly after
cleansing to prep skin for Priming Moisturizer and

several times throughout the day, as often as desired.

Key Ingredients:
RosewaterGentle and natural skin soother that smells pretty great.
AloeActs as a water reservoir to hydrate skin.
GlycerinHelps skin attract and retain moisture.

Benefits:
Hydrating, Gentle, Refreshing

Claims:
hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, appropriate for all skin

types, non-comedogenic, non-irritating, paraben free,

alcohol free, not tested on animals

I love to exfoliate, apply serum, essence, leave on night mask, mask sheet, eye mask, as opposed to eye cream (which I do use for extremely dry eyes, so they retain moisture), however I don't have dark circles or puffiness. So far, so good. Fingers crossed it remains this way. A lip mask. The skin around your mouth is as thin as the skin under your eyes. This means the first signs of aging occur under your eyes, in addition to around your lips. Premature aging is normally seen around the mouth area, this is often due to smoking. UV rays is the main and common source for aging skin. Therefore, I don't go into the sun nearly half as much as I did when I was a teen and into my early to mid twenties. I try to not tan. A faux tan I'm not against.

Lastly, I moisturize my skin. I use all kinds of moisturizers. Moisturizers to minimize pores is not only important with oily skin, but also with anti-aging skin. Pores get enlarged as we age.

One of the moisturizers I like is from Glosseier called Priming Moisturizer ($25, www.glossier.com
“Priming” means that it immediately brings out the best in your skin, so you have a fresh, glowing canvas for the Perfecting Skin Tint. Immediately on application, this plumps skin up with moisture to create cushiony bounce and an even texture, which helps minimize the appearance of pores, minus any heavy blurring ingredients. The anti-redness complex soothes and evens skin tone, leaving a clean, dewy, balanced finish. This comforting cream allows you to layer and build up to the perfect amount of moisture depending on climate, season, or how your skin’s feeling on any given day.

How to Apply:
After cleansing and using the Soothing Face Mist
massage dollops of the cream into your face using upward
and outward strokes.
It's buildable—add additional layers to plump and prime skin
to desired effect for makeup and/or life.

Key Ingredients:
Hyaluronic AcidGives that cushiony effect through mega hydration.
Mushroom Super HydratorA powerful plant extract that plumps skin and provides deep moisture.
Anti-Redness ComplexA soothing mix of tea and honey extracts that quickly and visibly reduces redness while calming inflammation.
Oxygenating AgentSupplies stressed skin cells with oxygen, significantly improving texture.
Antioxidant BlendVitamins A, C, E, and radish root help protect against cell damage.

Benefits:
Soothing, Redness Reducing, Oxygenating, Buildable

Claims:
hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, appropriate for all skin

types, long-lasting moisture, non-comedogenic, paraben

free, fragrance free, not tested on animals.
