With that said here are some tips to prevent your makeup from melting.
1. Primer: Primer is something that should be used throughout the year, especially when it's warm outside. Look at it like this, before you paint a wall you must prime it first. The same goes with makeup. Primer will keep your makeup in tact all day through rain, shine, even a snow storm. Believe me. Primer has many benefits such as, it reduces the appearance of imperfections. It evens out your skin tone and making it easier for you to apply your foundation. Lastly, primer acts as a barrier wall. Keeping your makeup from touching your skin, especially if you apply your makeup in a downward motion.
Two of my favourites are:
Chanel: Base Lumiere: Base Eclat Du Tent : Illuminating Makeup Base SRP: $42.00
This primer is both water-based and silicone-based. Which means you can use any product on your face. Believe me your makeup will stay in tact.

Smashbox: Photo Finish Foundation Primer SRP: $36.00
This primer should not be confused with Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light. This primer is water-based. The original is not.

2. Foundation: Any foundation will work, whether it's liquid, cream, mousse etc. As long as it's silicone your makeup will not slip away.
3. Tinted Moisturizer: If you are not wanting to use foundation, you can opt for a tinted moisturizer, which is a type of foundation. Tinted moisturizer contains 1/3 foundation, 1/3 moisturizer and 1/3 sunscreen. It is perfect for summer. It protects and hydrates your skin with a bit of colour giving you that sun kissed look. you can wear a tinted moisturizer alone or over primer and under your powder.

Laura Mericer: Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 SRP: $42.00
The No. 1 best selling and beauty award winning Tinted Moisturizer.

4. Powder: Any powder will work. Keep in mind when using a powder foundation such as Make Up For Ever Duo Mat, you want to apply a small amount as much as possibly can. This will prevent the caked on look. This particular powder from Make Up For Ever is excellent at concealing. Powder Foundations fall into the foundation family, as well as the powder family. Meaning you can use a powder foundation as a foundation, concealer and powder. Be careful though it is heavy even though it may feel light-weight once you have it applied. To avoid the caked on look I recommend using a product called Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix. Spray this after you have applied all of your cosmetics and this will illuminate the appearance of a powdery finish.
5. Oil Blotting Powder: I prefer using the powder of the blotting sheets. Use what works for you. The powder will illuminate any shine you obtain and controls oil to maintain a matte finish. The powder will avoid giving you a caked on finish.

Smashbox: Photo Set Finishing Powder SPF 15 SRP: $28.00

6. Blush: Cream blush works best, however you can still use powder. Cream has a tendency to last much longer on the face than anything else. It's best to apply cream blush on bare skin and apply your makeup as you would. Just so the blush isn't as intense, as well as it being easier to blend. The cream blush below you can apply after you have powdered. The cream blush below is a cream to powder blush. It goes on as a cream and once dry gives the powder blush finish. Simply amazing!

7. Water-Proof Mascara: Water resistant products will help to keep your makeup on longer, however it isn't water-proof and there is a difference. Water resistant products do eventually wipe away, where as water-proof it does not.
Dior: DIROSHOW
One of the best-selling mascaras out there. It gives you those runway lashes. It curls, lengthens and volumizes the lashes. It gives the illusion one is wearing false eye lashes. Who doesn't want that?!

L'Oreal: Voluminous False Fiber Lashes
This mascara does the same as DIORSHOW and works just the same.

8. Eye liner: For a couple of reasons I would use powder for my eyeliner. It can be an eye shadow or an eyeliner powder. This so natural looking and long lasting. With some eye shadows you can damp your paper towel and dip your eyeliner brush into the dampness of the paper towel. Afterwards, get some powder onto your brush and apply your liner. The dry powder is so natural, where as the wet powder is more intense. Any eyeshadow will work.
Chanel: Ombre Essentielle : Soft Touch Eyeshadow SRP: $30
This eyeshadow was made to give you the natural look or a more intense, dramatic look. It's a great eyeshadow. I really like it.
9. Lips: I would recommend a highly pigmented lip gloss. It stays on much longer than a sheer gloss. The lip balm below moisturizes the lips adding some colour to the lips. Or you could use a lip stain.
